Default Bitterly Dissapointed but Glad

I went for a look at the JK Rubi that I had on order but canceled.....yesterday at Holland Park and I must say, I canceled my order due to price before I had seen the car......if I got to see the car first I still would have caned the order. The AUS spec Rubicon doesnt come with BFG Mud Terrains and has minimal ground clearance. Now I understand that it has lockers and swaybar disconnects etc but all the gadgets in the world wont help you when you bottom out. If I did take the order I would have had to lift it a little. Spoke to Chris there about the car and well its going to be an order only car for a while yet, maybe up to 12 months before they filter down to being an off the lot car like the TJ. So guys if you want a good deal on a JK now isnt the time to buy one.....3 month lead time and doesnt sound like there hard to sell. Anyway sorry to babble on but im seriously bummed on the difference between the US spec and AUS spec Rubi.....but my god the 4 doors look **** hot

i dont believe there is any difference in ride height between the US and AUS spec versions? - maybee someone will correct me but im sure its only the wheel diameter that determines the ride height.

Once you see it in action - you will change your mind! It was very impressive - it went throught the crab holes at the jeep muster without the diff locks on, using only the traction controll.

Going through wombat holes has nothing to do with ramp over which is what OJR555
is commenting on. Wombat holes show flex, ground clearance is nothing in that respect.

I also looked at the JK and that was one of my surprises. The ground clearance and the rubber. I guess they assume we wont take them off road in OZ?

There is no difference in ride height between Aus and US spec Rubi's only tyre diameter, it still has more/equivalent ground clearance than any other 4by on the market and tyres are easy to change, and the price is awesome, given what you get....

Something to think about is that a deal on a Wrangler TJ or JK is never going to look that impressive, and we (dealer group as opposed to DCAuP) hardly ever did deals on the cars anyway, even TJ run-out......

all they need is the spacer lift that troy had on his down at camp coffs to run 35" tyres very easy 33's would look **** hot too

we made our choice after actually seeing touching etc and still went for it there a step up from the tj (no offence to tj owners) and id say well worth what you pay for them over the sport model 6 grand for lockers, 4.11 diffs dana44's, 4:1 transfer box, 32" tyres, rock rails etc well worth the $$$

now all i have to do is sit n wait for 2 more mnths

Yeah, my opinion exactly. Don't forget the swaybar disconnect...
