Default Jk 2013 diesel

Has anyone heard any news if 2013 jk crd will come with 3.0crd instead of 2.8crd?

what makes you think it will???? i have nothing to go on, but i reckon if they changed engines they could go for a fiat engine. makes sense now with the fiat alliance. there has to be something in it for fiat. general motors owns a big slab of vm motori. can't see fiat putting more money in gm's pocket, when they could be selling their own engines. no information on it, but just seems to make sense. in the states, cadillac run a vm diesel and the new colorado is coming out with a 2.8 l diesel, (probably vm). so if there was an engine change using a fiat diesel just seems to make sense. again no information about it.

The new grand is coming up with 3.0 crd, mopar did a jk with 3.0crd at sema , vm motori is part of chrysler so i dont see why not.

I have heard that new JK diesel engine came from another popular model jeep.

i think daimler had a big chunk of vm but sold it right down. so with the fiat alliance i don't think vm has any connection at all to chrysler, other than as an engine supplier at this ime.

my apologies. just did a web search and it appears that as of feb. this year, vm motori is owned 50% GM and 50% by fiat. so probably the vm engines will continue in the jk.

rumour only. I know the yanks deperately want a diesel wrangler over there as well

Autosales say that Chrysler has no plans to do this despite many wanting
