saw a post from jbnewbie a bit back. funny thing this bloke was starting to head up a national movement against chrysler over the slow filling problem in the crd. he was also getting a support base. eventually his problems was solved and he was able to get fuel in. from that moment he was full of praise for chrysler, the dealership and the jk. now he is full of praise on this site. jb newbie are you a chrysler stooge putting out this sudden supportive stuff, were you somehow paid off by chrysler to change your attitude and retract you your earlier complaints or what is the story.

earlier post asking what was wrong with my jk diesel. well the aircon packed in on a holiday in 42 deg temp and 90 pc humidity. the dashboard lit up like a xmas tree for no known reason. the water in fual light stays on indicating water in fuel when there is none. and i can't get fuel into it. slowest fill has been 56 litres in 24 mins. and j.b newbie did not discover the fix for the problem, the wa state service manager is pulling mine apart today to llok at it and says he is aware of the thread about it on this site. says there are a number of issues with the jk filling problem and the sticking valve is just one of them. he has also been in touch with the bloke who fixed the problem for jb newbie and confirms it just another one of a number of causes. these are just the prblems associated with owning a jeep. check thread on kj cherokees and grand cherokees and jk wranglers. all have faults. jeep and landrover have the most recall and warranty fixes of any cars sold in this country. that is a matter of record.

just got my jk back from wanneroo chrysler, where the state service manager personally pulled apart and checked the fuel system. there are 2 pressure relief valves in the vent sytem. both stick and after dropping the tank twice and cleaning them both he improved the fuel flow from 2-5 litres per minute to approx 70 litres per minute. an amazing improvement. also fixed the other issues i had. the vehicle is now fully functional. the service manager did a marvellous job, but it still irks me that chrysler just can't get it right first time.

hi davidd - no i am not a chrysler stooge - - nor did i claim to have found the fault with the slow fill - i clearly said the jeep guy did - seems to have fixed yours too doesn't it.
So Whats your problem - i had the same issue most did with the deisel slow fill and thought instead of just whinging individually about it we should do something about it. As it happens they found the fault (with mine at least) before we needed to get together about it, which i shared here (thats what forums are for in case you did not realise it). I have never had any other problems with my Jeep and i love it, if you don't think my dealer deserves some praise for his positive attitude when you read what some people have had to put up with from theirs - then tough luck to you. I believe it is as important to give credit where it's due as it is to complain about things that are wrong, unfortunatly these days that is a minority view and one not shared by you apparently.

In the slow fill thread i started you recomend people to show the thread to their dealer to get the problem fixed and here you bag me for it - nice touch - Ta.

So pull your head in Dave - this is supposed to be a place to share exeriences both good and bad and help where you can - not sling Sh$t at people.

And devilish who you took the opertunity to bag in the slow fill thread is taking the piss out of Hummer owners with his sticker not proving he drives one, a sense of humour is needed .

x2

It's funny though, in our modern electronic world we find offence and ridicule where none was intended...
