I've got a Congo Cage and I'm very happy with it although I don't leave it on. There is a lot of drag and the wind noise starts at about 60 km/h and gets louder from there.

I got mine second hand from another member on here (thanks rossj). You will need to modify the drivers side bracket if you want to run a snorkel. This had already been done by rossj on mine and add a spacer to move the top of the snorkel out to clear the rack.

I had a basket already from my old truck, so I just threw that up there.

Did I mention it is noisy? Through trawling the other JK- forums I've found that the noise drops off if you fit a wind deflector plate or something to break up the airflow and the resulting turbulence. I'm Looking at putting a lightbar up there to break up the airflow.

Oh yeah, btw it's noisy. But it does do what I need it to do. Fully loaded up and on a rough track it does move around a bit but nothing too bad. I'll see if I can find a pic of it loaded up and of the modified bracket.

Jas

Ok as I mentioned I got the rack from rossj and he had some photos up before http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...3&postcount=17

Here is is the modified bracket, you can see that the tang that is normally wrapped around to the side of the windshield bracket has been cut off and the bracket has been welded to a replacement wind shield bracket.

Here is the other bracket

And a shot of the spacers the move the top of the snorkel out away from the front bow of the rack, with these fitted the Donaldson pre cleaner is well clear of the rack.

And one of the rear brackets

The rack fitted (sorry I don't have a profile shot)

Scored it of a goal today, I saw an advert for a basket with bag for $200. Went along to lookat it not expecting much to find a new big Rhino basket with Rhino luggage bag. It would have cost me $800 in the shops
Hopefully as the luggage bag fills the entire basket area this will help with the wind noise.

Good score on the bag and basket.

The wind noise that will annoy you is caused by the cross bar at the front above the windshield. You can put a splitter plate in there which according to some of the guys in the states will dramatically reduce the noise level. Plus you get a nice high place to mount an antenna with one like this.

The rods that they give you to tilt the rack back to fold the soft top are useless by the way. You can't get the rack high enough with them to fold it back without striking the rack with the top. (Don't know how it goes with the shorty though). I ended up leaning the rack back onto a jerry can and then dropping the soft top from there.
