I checked out the original pipes this afternoon and there seems to be a fair bit of oil weeping through. I ran my hands over both pipes and my hands were left real oily and black, thats definantly a bad thing yeh?

I know this is off thread just a tiny bit, but! If the oil weeping out of the turbo pipes worries you, then just think about how much oil is gathering in the intercooler etc. If you do any other mod, fit a Pro-Vent oil/air separator. If these were fitted at the start it would stop most of the oil even getting near the pipes or anything else. And yes I have had a sweet set of custom turbo pipes on the CRD for awhile now and the Pro-Vent was done not long after that.
Cheers Mick

The Provent is a great way of filtering most of that out but its just a shame we can vent to atmosphere anymore, used to keep alot of mess out of the engine but not good for emissions.
Matt.
I will be taking a photo of my KAOS stainless pipes tomorrow to post them here so that people can see just how great steel turbo pipes look compared to rubber or silicone. The other benefit of stainless pipes is there is no ballooning of the pipes which results in less boost.

Macca, do you have any pictures of your provent to explain how it is hooked up and where you have located it under the hood. I am keen to get an M&H ProVent oil/air filter. Did you use the ProVent 150 or 200? Both claim to be suitable for the JK VM diesel power output.

Mich,
Got a Provent 200 and will post some pics up at morno's or lunch, Im in class all day today.

Mines is Auto so I dont have clutch etc, made a bracket (as per last pic) and attached to the end of ally bracket and the brake booster.
I havent plumbed in a return line to the sump, but I will one day. My wife vehicle has a drain on the dipstick and this one, may do the same or use the turbo oil return...still deciding.
Hope the pics help.
