Default 100,000Km Service on Hold

Put this thread up on the other Cherokee forum as well. With 103,000kms on the clock, our KL 2015 Diesel Ltd was booked in this coming Monday for its 100,000km service. Bit overdue but finding time to do the 400km round trip for a service can be a problem. Anyway, part of this service is to replace the timing belt and tensioner. Got an urgent phone call yesterday from the dealer to say that they will be unable to do the service until the end of July when the timing belt kit will become available. It was bad enough to see Jeep Australia can the Diesel Cherokee and it appears now that their parts back up for the Diesel engine is a low priority. Frustrating???

I don’t think that’s unique to your Diesel engine - almost everything seems to take them about 4 weeks to source. Frustrating as hell when you can DHL something across the globe in 2 days.... If you want to.

I don't think it has a timing belt. I'm pretty sure it has a chain and that wouldn't need replacing as part of a normal service.

Book says 100,000 for diesel 120,000 for petrol.
