Mines a 2015 model (June build) and has been serviced by the Dealer. Very expensive for what they do. Battery failed yesterday and have been told it will be under warranty (Jeep Assist). Will see when I go to the Dealer tomorrow...

Normally your battery has only a 12 month warranty on it from the factory. Is it a stop/start model like ours?? Would be interested to know what that battery is worth. Trailfirst mentioned his battery was $280. Would like to know if his one has the stop start technology also, because that's a pretty good price for one of those batteries. Would be happy if that's all it costs

These are an AGM 800cca battery. On eBay they go for between $250 and $400 (I was looking last night in case I have to buy it!).

But I specifically asked Jeep Assist if it were covered and after going away to consult she assured me it was. Will find out very shortly!

I just looked them up and Marshalls sells them for $389 with a 12 month warranty. I work for a large road service provider and we don't even list them yet. I expect aftermarket, this is the general price range you'll end up looking at. From Jeep themselves it's probably $100's of dollars more.

The level of detail was terrible, and as for the pre delivery, I doubt it was even looked at. It came washed, but little else. Had grotty hand prints on the hoodlining, dirt in the grille and when I checked the fluid levels, it needed a litre of engine oil. I do not think this car has had any of the updates to date. This was the straight after we got home from the car yard. I'm thinking if this is what they're like when they deliver a new car, I can't help but wonder what they're service department is like. Funnily enough, I have friends that have their car serviced at their sister dealership about 30 km's away and they reckon they're great. At the moment, I'm leading towards letting them do the 6 month and 12 month services for the updates. If I'm happy with the service level, I will take it back to them, but if not I'll take it into one of our workshops and do it myself.
Name and shame! I've found Jeep dealership service to be consistently woeful - we should all try and warn each other to save others the pain!

I called Cricks at Noosa to see if they could fit my new battery (they are 5 mins up the road). Was told they use non genuine but couldn't fit me in for a few days and needed my VIN and a pile of other details before they could take the booking.

Called my usual Dealer, Sunco Motors at Maroochydore and yes they have them in stock, could I get there for 1pm and they will fit it.

Needless to say I jump started it and drove the 35km to Sunco. One new 850cca 80amp AGM battery with Mopar sticker installed under warranty.

Had my last Jeep (JK) serviced at Cricks a few times and every time they forgot to refit something, didn't do something or just didn't have the parts to complete the job. Hence I bought the next one from Sunco..

(Air cleaner chocked full of bugs and dirt after 60k service, nut not refitted to lower shock mount after suspension work, 3 years to fix water leaks, not accepting ball joint and tie rod end movement as out of spec until I returned with a failed roadworthy etc..)

Getting a 12+ month old battery replaced under warranty is pretty good, both by the dealer and Jeep. It's funny how some dealers are good and others are not, does not make business sense.
