Default exhaust tail pipe replacement for 3.0lt diesel

looking at removing the stock rear tail pipe and muffler section on the commander
does anyone know
if i have to run a muffler at all due to it already having in affect 2 already being the turbo and the dpf
hoping to go dpf back with 3" mandrel bent and NO muffler if i have to change the note was looking at maybe fitting a hotdog to take the drone out
any suggestions ??
what have others done to get the 3.0lt diesel in our commander breathing better out the rear end ??

Contact Roo Systems, I think GPCDR did upgrade his system. See the treat 3.0 CRD Performance.

yes mate have seen this thread
however there is no mention of if he tried without the muffler
would preffer to install without muffler
less restriction

I replaced the standard muffler with a small straight through sports muffler on my Grand, a little better and sounds better also but you need to be on the outside.

But i was thinking after doing it and given how quite it still is i should have tryed no muffler, would be interested to here how one goes without a muffler.

Couldn't be to bad i recken i know a TJ getting around with no muffler.

I'm happy with the result of fitting the Roo System exhaust. I would have liked more of a note, but I also like that I don't hear the exhaust when cruising (not above the tyres anyway). Would be interesting to know the result, diesels need some back pressure though.
