08 diesel 4 door, 33's, often heavily loaded & driven hard.
Best 8.7 when car was bare/standard tyres.
Average now 11.7
Bush driving 12.5 to 15.
Worst. 24 deep snow driving but who really cares when you're having that much fun

I've checked it driven normally and on cruise control and it didn't make any significant difference.

The computer readout usually shows a little higher than if I calculate manually after filling up.

Checked with the garage about the higher than expect highway consumption and they said it may take up to 10000km for the engine to loosen up. I'm not convinced. Somehow I doubt that I'm going to see it drop 2-3l/100km in the next 4500km.
funny that - i was told to wait till 5000km by SVM for my CRD 2dr auto to settle down, and wasn't holding my breath

I'm approaching 11000 kms now, and seeing similar results to yours in syd, 13.5L p/100km granted it still has a fuel leak , snorkel, ARB bars + lift - back seat. The best efficiency i have ever seen is 11.7 with a feather on the accelerator and travelling at a snails pace

I don't know how the rest of you guys manage to achieve such low usage, i keep looking at my fuel economy sticker which is still proudly displaying the 9.7L combined wondering if i'm ever going to see that day

will wait to see once the leak is fixed on the 2nd, then 3rd attempt by SVM

anyone notice the german diesel combined fuel economy?!?!?
"Kraftstoffverbrauch kombiniert: 8.1 l/100 km"

The rubicon diesel gets 9.3L combined !!

Rizwan @ SVM - it did start to settle down, but nowhere near close to what it should be doing, the leak would def contribute
