I got mine from the Merc dealer was cheap. It started leaking after i did the service on Trans, so i drove jeep onto ramps got the nose high in air, put new connector in without losing any trans fluid.

Service intervals are a tricky one, depends on usage.
Personally when I was towing I changed the fluid yearly (about 20,000km).
I am approaching 40,000km without towing and am only now thinking of changing it.

Yes I do more not towing than towing. And I only tow a small (1600 kilo odd), so it's probably getting close at nearly 40,000km
