If you do decide to replace the bearing(s) , better sooner than later before it spins and damages the housing. It's only alloy and will chew out almost instantly.

Mine went... same squeal...bearing rooted.... changed the alternator. Bought from Morris 4x4 and had it in about 2 weeks. Much cheaper than buying from Oz dealers. The mean greens r supposed 2b the duck's guts but some have had trouble with them according to US forums.Do u really need the greater output they create? If not stay stock I reckon. When the bearing goes, the alternator can get really hot, enough to melt the internal plastic wire coating etc. Can buy recon units from US a bit cheaper but up to you.

Moris don't do the 2.8 CRD Jeep Jk Alternators that i could see.
Cheapest i found was http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Alternato...4AAOSwFnFWC853
Might see if its possibly to get it reconditioned.
As for the pulley i can't seem to find a replacement pulley, another thread someone was trying to get one but all the ebay stores had the wrong offset, im not sure if that has been resolved yet

And WD40 on the pulley didn't do anything sound wise
