Went mudding with some mates and ended up breaking my gearbox just as we got back onto tarmac.

it made it home in limp mode but the tourqe converter isnt locking and it doesnt kick down gears and its really slushy, fluid on the dipstick is BLACK.

How much is a recond 4speed auto gearbox?

Did a little today...
Ran a breather line on the rear diff to the engine bay, then stuck it on a modified air compressor air filter.

Also made some booty-fab extension leads to get power to the wee air compressor in me boot. Only a temporary fix, until I can afford to put power and a distro block in the back.

I'll edit with some pics later....

Ok how much?

It isnt slipping it just isnt locking in, could it be a bad solinoid or something like that?

Guess ill find out when i get it into the mechanics next week

maybe a bad TPS?

How can i tell its in limp mode?

sure showed how bent everything was behind it
