Default Flowmaster 817674 Cat-back System 409S - Single Rear Exit - American Thunder - Mode

Long time no post!

Just installed a new exhaust over one day. Lone installation, first time on the tools... was a challenging and soon after a rewarding experience.

Exhaust: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/?p...817674&x=0&y=0

It's a high clearance exhaust system; just wanted to get rid of that visible tin can at the back of the jeep...

I'll be writing up a Installation/How to thread when I have time

A LOOK AT WHAT ACTUALLY IS THERE:

hahaha, that's exactly the same clip that contributed to me wanting to buy one,

I didn't get it from australia, I went to quadratec.com and bought it... about $AUD700 including shipping... took a while for quadratec to get it back in stock (2 weeks) but the shipping took about (<1.5 weeks)

It says on their website that an aftermarket rear bumper is recommended due to the heat that comes from the exhaust. Have you noticed any changes to your rear bumper from this? A friend of mine has the Gibson Metal Mulisha exhaust and the pipes are melting the edge of his plastic bumper at the moment.

Looks good, sounds good. Let us know what its like on the freeway...some of these systems can be a bit annoying, some are fine.
From a practical perspective, the location of the exhaust tip is good....won't get crushed if you bottom the bar climbing out of some place. From a legal perspective, be aware you may get defected as the exhaust tip does not protrude past the end of the bodywork/bumper.....probably not likely, but its possible someone may get picky about it.....I'd probably risk it, thats a nice system and the room you now have will let you fit one of those deep storage boxes into the back floor.
