Default Seat upgrade / retrofit

Desperate for some better front seats.. aesthetically and functionally.

I know XJ leather seats and some grand Cherokee model seats can be swapped in easy but has anyone done anything nicer?

Leaning towards some seats from a late model SV6 - cheap from the wreckers, supportive and would look very neat imo in the XJ.

Edit: Commodore might be too wide, maybe golf gti

I personally prefer manual to electric, but I doubt that will help you

have seen somewhere, must be US Jeep sites, seat swaps done, with pics!
doesnt look overly difficult, but there is always going to be some fab needed to match mount points

I have a 97 xj, and found the seats to be too horizontal.
I pulled the tracks apart, and shimed the front up 25mm.
What a difference in posture comfort.
Doesn't feel like your bum is sliding off it forward anymore.

I put WJ seats in when I had mine, much better than the XJ seats but would be just as hard to find a decent pair now.

Cheers
Steve

Don't make it to obvious of alterations to the seats at rego/pink slip time.
May well need to be certified hey.
