Hey Stu, why do you have to put the additional bumpstops on the rear? What the purpose of these? To stop the wheel stuffing too much?

Also, what length uncompressed/compressed are the stock OME struts vs the new OME special ones?

The new rear shocks are 660ext & 396 compressed, hence why I had to install rear bump stop extentions. On (normal) full flex/tuck, the rear shocks compress down to 385mm, this is with full body weight ect. So If I bolted the new longer shocks straight on, they would cirtainly bottom out, damaging the foot valve in the base of the shock rendering it useless. With the tests that I have performed already, i've managed to get the rear to compress down to 410mm. Its close, probably a tad too close so i'm going to add another 10mm to the existing bump stops.

You ask me about the OME struts ? they are on the front, didnt replace them, only the rear shocks.?

Looks fantastic, Stu. Obviously you have the rear sway bar disconnected, mine is sitting in the stock parts pile. Is the front sway bar loose in those shots? I'm leaving mine on except for those special occasions.

After reading the entire thread, I see you reinstalled the rear but left the front off. How is the KJ handling without the front?

How is winter treating my Southern Hemi brethren?

Can I be the token yank on the Aus board?

Stu,

Great install. I am hoping to get similar results for the Grand when I get around to it.

We will have to do Old Coach Rd again as Iwan to do the big hill this time.
