So can I put 245/70's on a longitude? Interesting to find out, my mate had a set but I only found out today and he had already sold them.

Mate, I would be surprised if it fits. Do you have 17in or 18in rims?

I have a Limited diesel and went from the stock 225/55/18 to 225/65/17 all-terrains. When I did the changeover, the tyre shop put on 235/65 to see whether it would work. It looked fantastic, but clearance at full lock was pretty small (say, 1 inch at most -- can't quite remember) and the sidewall was marginally outside the line of the wheel arch (so, technically illegal, I think...?). I'm a newbie to Jeep ownership and the whole customisation thing, so I decided to play it safe on this occasion!

I'm fairly confident in saying the wheel arch of the Sport/Longitude/Limited is smaller than the Trailhawk, so 245/70 would be pushing it, I reckon. Of course, only way to know for sure is to try!

Do they have the same wheel well openings as the Sport 4x4 models?

A mate in the states has put the lift in theirs, and added factory TH tyres (245/65r17) with no rubbing.

Was much smoother thand the JK over the same stretch and seemed more stable on the loose windy dirt too. Loved it though the missus was jot to keen on the road noise. Maybe a little less agressive would have been better but I just love these in the sand and will be towing a 1 tonne camper so the added sidewall grip makes a huge difference in the soft stuff.

Now just need a little lift and some rock rails and I will be even happier
Hey Seacomms, whats the drive like to Harrys Hut, easy? worth the drive? whats to see at the end and how long does it take from noosa?

Last time I went I could have taken the wifes Cooper S up there to be honest. If really heavy rain for a few days it can be fun but apart from that its all graded these days. At the end of the road you will find Harry Hut! Original logging hit from when that area was all about logging.

Its about a 45min trip from Noosa but a nice area to visit if you have never been there before. Good spot to camp or fish though being National Park they charge you of course.
