Hi guys, im getting on average 7.5 weekly around town here on the Gold Coast. When I have to go up to Brisbane and back on the freeway it sits in the high 5"s.

I would love to drive from Gold Coast to Canberra down the centre and see if it could make it on 60lts. Im sure I'd go close.

I'm running around Brisbane in a WK2 with the gauge saying I'm burning up 13 litres per 100k at the moment!

That seems high Gerry. Currently sitting on 9.5 on our WK2 CRD. It gets a couple of good runs though the week. ie: a good hour and a bit on the freeways (M7-M2 into Sydney) a couple of times a week, the rest short runs semi-rural roads; not flat.

Where abouts do your travels take you? Short runs?

The Challenger with much less power used to do around that in Brisbane, it's the weight being accelerated and then slowed cycle.

Mostly short, but a few runs down to the Gold Coast or up to the Sunshine Coast. Going to Fraser Island next week so will reset gauge before I go... 🙈

My latest tank included less stop-start, as well as some country driving, and showed a more respectable 7.0 on the EVIC. Still a bit of a real-world disconnect, though, with the manual calculation coming out at 7.4. Can't imagine ever seeing it down in the 5's, as some are reporting, but I can always try!

Heading off for a road-trip to Tassie shortly, so I'll be interested to see how it goes, although not expecting great things fuel economy-wise, as we'll have a bit of camping equipment strapped to the roof.

400km on the motorway between Gold Coast and North Brisbane twice this week. The rest city traffic.
