So after setting up the pinion angle to the 'technically' spot on angles and welding the brackets etc on the D44 I got a buzzing vibration from around 80km and up (the 4.56 and 32's mean it's quite a low speed). Anyway, put my 2 degree shims in with the fat end forward and it's now fixed even though the pinion angle now seems to low. Ahh well, at least the issue is gone

Cheers
Steve

For a rear driveshaft with SYE and dual cardan joint you need the rear pinion angle set around 2 degrees down from the driveshaft angle. So the Uni is almost straight but has some leeway to straighten up when the pinion rises under acceleration. Mine is closer to 3 or 4 degrees down now but works perfectly.

Cheers

Default Stroker power

Had the play thing dynotuned today thanks Smashed paul nows his stuff and OIIIO no difference to yours so the 68mm TB was no help.
The tunner said that the tune is good and I would not gain a lot from piggy changing the computer but to get more power say big cam and rockers big changes are needed as the upgrade model has the ECU controling the Auto you would need to maybe but a pre upgrade auto in and its controller and then a couple of grand for an after market ECU unit to be wired in.
It seen like Brett on the Gold coast new what he was doing with the tune wayne and we both ended up wih the same motor.
Cheers
