Default How clear is your 2014 GC Reversing Camera?

Since picking up our second hand 2014 GC, one of the only complaints has been the clarity of the reversing camera.

I've cleaned the lens, but just put the issue down to old technology.

It appears washed-out and low-light usage is just hopeless.

I was in a neighbours 2016 Audi the other day and was blown away by the clarity of their reversing camera - it was like just looking out the window.

I'll have a closer inspection of mine over the weekend (eg. moisture, scratches), but what are most peoples opinion of the reversing camera on the 2014 GC - should I be expecting very clear vision during the day, or do others suffer murkiness ?

Mine is very clear, I know the laredo reversing cameras were poor quality back in 2014. Jeep were offering replacements at one stage.

Maybe also take to a dealership to make sure any software updates have been done, I know that they did tweak the image quality with a update.

My Uconnect is currently 17.43.01

After looking at some other posts they indicated a system reset may help with washed out pictures.

It appears to have helped somewhat on mine. I'll check it out at night as well which is where I found the camera was basically useless.

How do you do a system reset? As my camera is the same after updating to 17.43.01.

Within the Uconnect 'apps' screen, select 'Settings' -> System Information -> Reset to factory defaults

Be aware it will wipe out all your radio presets, GPS favorites, and any paired bluetooth phones, and any other customisations you may have set in uConnect.

(In fact when I did mine the radio showed "Invalid destination code" and I couldn't store any presets - needed to shut the car down, lock it, let the uConnect drop off to sleep, and then try again.)

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee an compared to my old 2008 Ford Territory FPV F6X 270 the reversing camera is not very clear at all. Although it shows a bigger area.
