Talking Newbie with WJ GCL

Hi peoples, just bought a WJ Grand Cherokee Larado I6 motor, actually we haven't got it on the road as yet as have to replace front diff bearings, seals etc & CV boots (any info on this much appreciated ) then fix driver side front window, re-gas air-con & replace hinge on rear window. Only the diff keeping us off the road though & then will fix others along the way.
Going to be our new tug for our pop-top van as we continue our BIG LAP (hopefully LOL) in July. Will be upgrading suspension along the way & hopefully getting front bar as well .

Well finally got the black bitch (nothing intended here just colour of Jeep) & never want to work on a diff again LOL, I've had enough of pinion gears. I'll put some pic's up soon, after she's had a wash.
Now the search for a few mods eg 2" lift, front bar, good AT tyres & maybe a rear bar.

Sent from my GT-I9305 using Aussie Jeep Offroad mobile app

Just had it down to a Jeep guy in Southport after getting a computer read out at Supercheap. Reason being there was a lot of faults that kept coming up main ones being -
the handbrake warning light was on all the time, Jeep guy says that's because it's the wrong brake cylinder (out of a TJ) -
drivers side door controller not communicating with computer, 7 broken wires which Jeep guy fixed -
ABS not communicating, right side sensor probably broken when I had axles out to work on diff -
Immobiliser engaged when key used on front door, caused by not locking/unlocking with beeper fixed by unplugging horn temporarily of course.
Had to visit them because I don't have a "beeper" & had to lock car while sitting in it (also to wind windows up/down) then get out & lock drivers door with key. Problem was that when I unlocked using key it set the immobiliser off & couldn't start. He said he unplugged horn & it (d/s door controller now works ).

The auto shop was CJD Mechanicals in Southport Qld & will be going back again

ps - went for a short drive along Mt Tamborine Rd & whilst coming down a hill it got some serious (read VERY) wobbles, scared the s#*t out of me & the Mrs, reminded me of my old GQ but worse

Hi Steelo25. You may get a better response if you ask your questions in the WJ section. If I'm in a hurry I will only check my XJ section.
