years ago where I worked we would purchase thousands of litres of Caltex delo 400 in bulk and use it in everything, Cat, Lees, Cummins, Detroit. including the petrol Hiluxes, Landcruisers and Holden utes running around
for me I've been using diesel CI-4 rated 15w/40 in my TJ for years, mostly Castrol RX Super. went away from 10w/30 as reckon its a bit thin for Aussie conditions and I think it is a lame attempt by Jeep and other auto makers to reduce friction in order to increase fuel efficiency. I prefer long engine life
delo 400 is popular within the trucking industry, mainly based on price. I went away from it personally as found some oil pump intake screens blocking up with a tar like residue from the oil. also had some quality problems with Caltex grease. Caltex tech reps were always good at rectifying problems for us though
