Default Jk sector shaft play bandaid with sector shaft brace

Hey guys, have movement in my sector shaft after a impolite driver parked to close to me roadside parking. Literally had about 4 inches between me and the car in front. So after about a 50 point turn I managed to free my car. ( if there where no witnesses letís just say I would have rammed the car far enough forward to let me put) now I have slop in the sector shaft from that manoeuvre with my 37s. When I have my wife wiggle the steering wheel side to side I can see movement in the sector shaft. If I install a sector shaft brace like synergyís will this fix the problem or is it more like a bandaid fix? I have the synergy track bar brace so it will be an easy Install. I eventually want to do a power assist upgrade but donít have the cash atm to fork out.. just some feedback on the sector brace would help

it will not fix the problem. Only HD steering box replacement will provide a cure. I have the same problem with my 35" with the sector shaft brace.

No it will not stop the movement. Sector shaft brace provides support to the frame, preventing the box to be levered away.Bigger tires need a lot of force to be turned. The steering box is under engineered and the ratio not suffice to turn the wheels easily. Like I said I have the play too and the brace does nothing to improve the feel. On the other hand it is a bit like driving a truck and it will never feel like a race car steering. I always think it steers like shit when I get off my road car and drive the Jeep.

Ok I was under the impression that it would stop lateral movement in the shaft. The sector shaft brace I am talking about is the synergy brace which directly wraps around the sector shaft it self and braces back to the trackbar brace. I know it wouldnít fix it long term but for short term I though it might help. I have 4 inch lift and 37s, it ainít no race car but until this incident it drove friggin well swing I had the teraflex 4+ housing and caster is set well
