Default Can the TPMS be turned off

I am wanting to setup a second set of wheels with off road tyres but won't be installing the sensors. Is there a way to toggle the TPMS so that when these wheels are on the vehicle, the indicator is not activated? My car is a MY2012 WK2 Laredo CRD with air suspension.

Unless you have a program like https://www.autoenginuity.com/ your only option is the dealer to disable the warning but it will re-enable itself when you put wheels back on with sensors (USA law to have sensors, the dealer only turns the warning off when winter tyres are fitted).

Just get some sensors from eBay.

Ok. Thanks Clarky.
Would have preferred the option to turn it off as I also air down the tyres when on Fraser Is.
I'll look at getting more sensors.

Mine only shows the error for about 10 mins and then turns off, nothing visible after that, the dash goes back to normal

Ok then. That might be the case. I've only noticed it when the tyres ( with sensors) are aired down. I assumed i would get a constant error when I had wheels on with no sensors.

Be careful with sensors from the USA, they are more than likely a different frequency. US ones were not not compatible with my 300C.
