It's only a factory replacement. I am running GDE as well though.

Some guys in NV aligned a GTB2060VKLR turbo paired with a 1.5bar map sensor. I saw this also on an Audi.

Once my turbo goes, this will be the replacement (if I still have the vehicle). I figure same cost, so why not upgrade

Just ordered a turbo exhaust Y-piece to get ported out for extra flow.

the y-piece you ordered is that the one from CB if so how much is it costing you and do you think you will get a noticeable gain from it.

No, I did read about it though. I ordered from a wreckers in Germany for $17 + postage. I will port it out myself. Read about it on this forum.

Bloke says was one of the most noticeable mods (this was pre 3" Exhaust and pre tune), so makes sense why. More flow to the turbine and additionally, coupled with a less restrictive exhaust would be even better. I will definitely need it done with a GT2066 turbo as well.

Next mod will also be the intake resonator mod, plumbing and considering a thicker intercooler + kit from CB Engineering (or at least cross reference the items to suit) to compliment the extra flow. From what I have researched so far, there are a lot of mods to the aspiration alone, aside from a tune. One aim is to get EGT's away from the engine as fast as possible, and higher flow will help with that (coupled with EGR block). If I can get considerable gains without a tune (maintain factory fuel pressures etc), to me is more beneficial as far as maintenance/cost goes in the need to replace injectors or pumps.

It's a shame this bloke pulled the pin on his project before the finishing touches and testing. I wanted another V8 project (previously had a 355 stroked Commodore) but have decided to try my luck with the diesel. Looked at a set of heads as well to view how good the facotry porting was. If I can find a set for 200 Euro, I will buy them.

Finally got my Aux Battery installed and some extra outlets.... and ran my Offroad LED's off the Aux so I can turn them on without starting the Jeep.

Passenger outlets, Cig and Cig with USB plug .... the lower right switch is for the radio repeater (booster) so the signal booster can be on at camp without the engine.

Net outlets for flash lights recharging and hand held GPS .. phone radios etc..

Freezer / Cooler outlets and visible voltage indicator of Aux battery voltage

Aux Battery in the quarter Panel ... (Thanks to RedLiner's idea)

Aux Battery Blue Top Optima Mounted with circuit breakers

Isolator for starting in the engine bay (grey) and the 2nd circuit breaker just for safety as it's a long line to the rear.

Thumbs up

Nice job , I moved mine to the flat area next to the rear quarter window as the gear in the back kept belting the sockets when off road.
