Needed new tyres and came across these JKU Rubicons with near new tyres and balanced for $400. Courier $200 from Sydney to Port Douglas, so $600 for 4 tyres and bonus rims. 255/70/18. 32", bit big for dailies (want 255/75/17 for the bush which I will eventually fit to the current Wranglers I have). But wanted 18's for daily use. Will post a pic once I get them on. Probably will paint them grey

What kind of capacity are you anticipating with lifepo4's James?
I had one of those Super Mini Booster jump-starters (cranks my tractor engine easily.) in that spot, wired as the cranking battery. Then used an Optima blue-top in the stock location wired as aux.
Wasn't keen on the heat though, and I wanted the jump-starter back, so just have a relay/breaker box there now.

Hoping to fit 100AH (2 x packs of 4 50AH cells.) in some dead space around my drawers/sliding floor in the boot now (insert disclaimer about "lithium" batteries, I know what I'm doing, etc ). Only because I grabbed 8 cells cheap off this guy; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/182139222485
Otherwise I was gunna use 4 CAM72 cells (72AH.) which are the most dense widely available prismatic cells atm.

I'll have a pretty conservative charge/discharge on them to be safe, probably end up with ~60AH usable from the 100AH.

PS; One reason for going lifepo4 is that I want to try an induction cooker. AGM or spiral deep cycle wouldn't survive the burst current.

It was actually one made by a local fabricator here in WA, found it on gumtree as an ex demo rack that fitted perfectly over the roof rails. To install I drilled through the factory rails and bolted through. Originally I was going to make up my own replacements for the factory rails so I wasn't fussed putting a couple small holes in them!

Needed new tyres and found these rims with 90% tread for $400. Will fit tomorrow to see how they go. Hopefully they clear the pinchweld. 255/70/18.

Replaced my Transfer Case today, 6 hours from go to woe.
No more thud when going from drive to reverse.

Chain is probably stretched to its limits after driving on tar in low rang for 50/60 km's.

Now to rebuild my spare transmission, current one is getting a bit tired.

I wouldn't mind manualising my shift module like you did. These are my list of repairs plus 4Lo still not working. I figure I would need to buy a new gear shift module. Not sure.
