Thanks Rodgebone. I had a bit of a halt since posting this but am finally getting the tyres this week. I'm going with the stock rims as per your points exactly

Will post some pics of the updates once done.

Cheers

Well here's the update (new tyres and cowl). Nothing to show off about but definitely improves handling. In time I will get the lift kit and flares so I can put the rims and tyres that I really want - but happy with this for now

Thank you sir!

After searching to no avail for one of those rare as hens teeth Reflexxion Cowls, I resorted to getting something custom made.
Had a fibreglass cowl moulded and fitted to a regular steel hood and then got it bogged and painted at the panel beaters. I sourced someone in Melbourne to do the work and then got it painted up here in Townsville. Bit of a mission but I think it turned our pretty good

It definitely does it's job with getting that hot air out of the engine bay - temp gauge sticks to 100 now, and the thermo fan never comes on anymore unless I have the AC running and it's a particularly hot day (granted up here in North Queensland it can get mighty hot).

Couple more pics of it.

looks fantastic! what a great looking wrig. sits nice. looks good. the Reflexxion Bonnet is very sought after and of course no longer available. is the custom mfg willing to do more of the same for others in OZ? we would all be very interested to know where to get these as this is the best cooling option for XJs. Surely your source will want to sell more of these - they would be in high demand

Yeah they would surely be open to making more of these. In fact if demand is high enough, the owner said he would consider creating a full fibreglass bonet with the cowl stamped into it.

Here's the details:

Ok, looking for a bit of guidance here.

I have a pair of WG’s, and would like to know if the 18”x8” rims from a WK will fit. They are a 5x5” fitting so that part is fine, I’m thinking more about the offset measurement.

Anyone able to fill me in on the specs, and whether they’d fit?

Thanks in advance.

Doug.
