Changed all the lower control arm bushes on the jeep today... a few bruises and many curse words later it's done. Did the job with a ball joint press and a bearing press, worked alright but I'd say a Hydraulic press is a must have, would make life so much easier!

Next time... (hopefully never) I'll just buy new bloody control arms!

And spent more time swearing at the Jeep this time changing the 02 sensors and the front swaybar bushings. Finally that bloody clunk is gone from the front end.

I pretty much have to change every rubber and bush in the front & rear suspension. And replace all four brake rotors. May as well replace bearings while I'm at it. :-/

I'm like that, I'll go to change one thing and then justify either replacing everything around it or upgrading a few things because I may as well whilst i'm at it!

When I bought the Jeep I said i'd leave it stock and just have a bit of fun exploring WA beaches etc. The Mrs said it'd last about a few weeks... well she was right!

Latest mod. Put in a Grande MK3 Winch (4WD Supercenter one) Figured I've wanted a winch for a while so may as well pull the trigger. Also put in a massive new battery to keep things happy. Designed for start stop cars and with a massive CCA of 1180 and equally large reserve capacity it should fair well in helping power the winch on the trails and my camp lights when I park up.

Might start a build thread soon as I've got more mods planned for the future!

That is an awesome battery. Definitely a good RC for it's size. Is that mounted between the firewall and electrics distribution?

I did some tests and yep, lower balljoints are gone along with strut clevis and swaybar bushes. Just another thing to add to the list along with the glow module, brake pedal switch, trans shift clean, 4Low - and full service due on top! Going to be a 2min noodles type of month. LOL

Replaced the radiator and cap, water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, 2 front ABS sensors, bank 1 downstream O2 sensor, emptied the catch can, cleaned the throttle body (not that it had much gunk).
