The cowling for the fans look likes it is sitting hard against the core? The cowling need to be away from it at least an inch so the air that has gone through the core, not directly in front of the fans, can then travel up to the fan area. Otherwise you only effectively have a core that is the size of the two fans.
Its about 10 to 15mm from memory. I might be able to use some spacers to push it out another 5mm maybe. Its all a bit experimental as im quite limited with space. I've seen some blokes have holes cut out and flaps installed on them. Purpose is they open on speed but close when the fans kick in.
I'll find out how it all goes when I get back from holiday. Should only have a day or 2 work left, as long as the parts that came in fit
Alright back finally, awesome holiday apart from cracking a rib or 2 while snowboarding which is making this last part for me a bit of a challenge.
All the parts came in - remote oil filter, corrugated stainless steel hose for radiator, radiator overflow tank and a few other bits n pieces.
First was to make a bracket for the remote oil filter. Only had 10mm plate lying around so might as well use this up (bit overkill)
Taa Daa
Recovery tank bolted on
Hoses in
Now all I got left off the top of my head is to bleed the clutch lines, adjust transfercase shifters, get a temporary front driveshaft and make up some cables for the battery to computer, alternator and such
So I did some slight dodgy cable to get her started. The video didn't show it but the first time I turned the key she just kept turning over. Second time I turned she roared to life! scared the living shit out of me!!
I now know what you all mean when you say its worth it in the end!
Hopefully tomorrow I can get some help and tidy up the loose ends and go for a few test runs
