No plans for a winch in the immediate future. If I ever get a winch, I'd 'do a Hunty' and mount the compressor on the RWC.

I had some initial security concerns but the design of the front bar (Rugged Ridge XHD) means the bar has to be removed to get the compressor off.

Yep I've already got a big, gaping hole on the side from when I used to have a slimline sub mounted in there and that's what I was thinking heat wise..

I've got a low mount winch taking up the front bumper space and don't have a tyre mounted on the back so can't do that either

The only issue would be heat buildup as compressors get very hot. You can run a small 12v fan in there for cooling if required (get one from a computer, about $3)

Bring it over to Dexter st one friday night and ill help you hook it up.

Friday nights at my shop is usually guys (and girls) from 4x4 forums doing stuff to their cars. I happen to have a hoist, tools and enough enthusiasm to get myself into trouble and a few ringin's to get me out of it if needed

Not too confident on having it under the seat as mud etc always gets there from doorless trips and like being able to hose out the inside regularly lol

Hahah sounds good! I may need to swap some hoist space to do the diff swap for a bottle/carton of your drink of choice, when the front diff is rebuilt.. (wouldn't have a clue how to rebuild it with the locker etc so paying someone to do it when I've sold enough Jeeps to buy the rebuild kit and ratios lol
