I'm hopeful I can come to some sort of deal with Stellantis, I do love my Grand, it is really the most comfortable, fun to drive vehicle I've ever owned.
I think they have a FaceBook page. Barry has probably retired, his son Brenton is probably running things now. Maybe try & contact them through FB if you need to.

Still love the idea that Ineos Grenadier was put together by a group of disgruntled Engineers in a Pub.....love it when a plan is put together in a well founded platform....jus sayin.

If I was in the market for a new 4wd, that is what i would be buying...

...and they use parts that are available and already have a stellar reputation, such as BMW for the engines, ZF for the gearbox, (looks to be the same one as our Diesel WK2's use), Brembo for the brakes, Tremec for the transfer case, Carraro axles front and rear...(normally only seen in trators and earthmovers.)

I love this though; "There are no mirrors in the sun visors of the Grenadier. It was understood to be a request from company boss Sir Ratcliffe, who questioned anyone would need mirrors for an off-road vehicle" ...lol

AgreeJeeper6...IF I was gonna spend 100k+ on ANY bus...that would be it...but....really not likely Im gonna change my 30-35k cap on ANY bus...its a car/machine...it WILL breakdown/fail/have faults regardless of the badge...may as well have 70k over its ownership life to repair/replace those bits...cant face taking 100k onto the beach and splashing bait/berley/beer and bbq in the back....just cant do it...'spare' 100k and I'd retire...not buy a bus...jus sayin

Apologies to the OP...off track but some relevance surrounding prices and factory inbiult design faults.

re parts to rebuild these motors, I think the guy doing rebuilds over here is getting the cranks re machined and then using different sized bearing shells to match.

I found this link in my Jeep Bookmark List
blokes a bit of a dick but shows the engine in bits................

Thinking about it I would probably try to find a donor engine that you know the history so not one from a major smash sort of thing and a late vehicle, reliable engine builder to have a bench check over before throwing under the bonnet but if its going to be over 15G I would just dump the vehicle I think ..........

Well looked at a low k 2017 GC diesel last week ,full service invoices from a Jeep dealer guess what 5w30 listed in the oil change! Told the owner that this was the incorrect oil ,he got the s….ts,what do you know ,told him obviously a lot more than the Jeep dealer.!Then showed him the 2016/TSB changed his tune and said he was going to contact the dealer.Guess what again! Dealer said it didnt apply to Aussie vehicles which is plain bs.the owner is going to take it up with Stellantis,! On another note put the new Penrite 10w 40 Enviro in the 2010 WH Merc motor, quieter plus less blowby!
