Default Re-Paint ARB Front Bar???

Hi guys, Im wanting to re-paint my front ARB bar. Its got heaps of scratches in it and it needs a freshen up. My question is, who has done this b4 and how did it turn out. Just concerned with painting over the powder coat. I wanted to weld up a few old holes and weld on some light tabs and aerial mounts. Will the paint stick to the powdercoat after a good sanding or do u think it will flake off. I plan on sanding and painting it properly with good quality paint, not a cheap spray can. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

if the chips are making the paint lift it will just keep lifting so u are better off to get it sand or grit blasted for about 50<70 bucks then you cant paint wat ever u want on there

Its ok to paint over a powder coated bar, ONLY if the powder coat is as good as new.
If it has chips & scratches it will only give you greif.
Sand blast & start again is the go.
If you have a odd colour & you want a colour coded bar from ARB they will give you a powder coated bar painted in your colour.

Cheers guys. I think i will just give it a good sanding, fix the dents, weld the brackets and paint it. That way i'll keep the cost down. And i'll use a little squirt of highfill b4 the paint, just to get it nice and smooth.... Was going to do the final coat in chassis black. I have done my rear bar in this and it matches the ARB powdercoat pretty good. Seems to resist the stone chips a bit beta than enamel to.......Then i'll give it a little more respect when out on the rocks so i wont need to do it again to soon.
