Don't worry mate. That's a fact we all know.
To make you feel better, I can tell you that getting a Jeep in Hong Kong and maintaining it there is more expensive than in Aus. Much more expensive..

We are ripped off on all things in Australia

Fuel prices
Parts prices
New car prices
Tyre prices

Look at them all and compair to USA retail and we are paying in some cases more than double
Most is in governemnt levleies - Taxs etc and some on profittearing by retailers in Australia

Us minimum wage is about $8/hr, Australia has the highest minimum wage in the world at about $17/hr.

I feel your pain Jeepdownunder ad most of us have witnessed. Clock spring for the JK around the $900 - $1000 locally but around $200us shipped.

I was looking at bullbars a few years ago and found I could buy an Australian made ARB bar from the US, shipped to my door, including freight GST and Duty for $250 less than if I drove 45km to my nearest ARB outlet and ordered and picked it up myself. Work that one out!

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .

Wages may be a very small part but not the answer

Think back to the Ford Capri made in Australia exported to USA with higher level trim inclusions and higher fit and finish and a whole lot cheaper in the USA than where it was made so wages have little to with it

Profits and government rip offs tell most of the story

It's always been the mentality that "Australians are willing to pay more"..
But from what I've seen stuff in UK r expensive as well. It's mainly the states that is heaps cheap I think
