I'd love to see the cost of a fully "engineered" bar that replaces the standard bumper on any late model 4WD. Given the design and manufacturing capabilities of the big guys like ARB I doubt they are not doing it cause they can't. I orignally thought the modern bars should be full replacement but then I think some like that might look as gawdy as the ECB overbumper design.

You're all over it - WK2 Trailhawk 2 has 35's!

For the record, if it's a wish list I'd also be interested in a bar without the hoops. I'm not sure what type it is, but I love the way valpacers WH front bar follows the lines of the vehicle.

I removed the hoop on cad and looks good. I'll look at doing the top hoop as a bolt on option.

I'll post some pics tonight.

Nice work, Dave!

The graphic gives a good insight into where your headed with it. Also great that you are taking recovery points into consideration.

Having seen that, I reckon a steel bar colour matched to my GC would be the go.

And if you are thinking of the hoops as a bolt on option, then there's the possibility to go with a colour matched steel bar and alloy hoops.

I know it's early days, but do you have any ideas on how you might allow air through for engine cooling? This is one of the things I like about the ARB split pan design. I'm not saying you should replicate their design, but it would be good to get your thoughts on it.

I know there are logistics with 2 different patterns Dave but if you are poking your tubes through the bar and welding from both sides maybe you can have the 2 patterns with and without holes. To me the integrity (in both actual strength and brand recognition) are compromised with bolt on tubes. There is a reason why only the likes of Bocar and Toyota etc do ally bolt together bars. Not that I'm
In your market but I would not buy one with bolt on tubes although I do like both styles with and without.
