Default Holiday trip report

Hi all,
just thought I'd let you know I just got home after 7000k's in the last 8 weeks.
Went from Ballarat in Vic to Winton in Qld, across to the coast and don to Caloundra & Brisbane. Then back via Dalby,St George, Bourke and the Kidman way.
Had a good trouble-free trip (only a blown park lamp globe!)
Before leaving however, I experienced the dreaded swirl motor failure. Decided to try the cheap ($0.39) fix with a resistor stuffed in to the plug connector.
No problems at all - no difference to power or economy. So is there any point to having it fixed properly, and forking out over $1000?
The only thing that bothers me is what to do when the time comes to sell the Jeep? If I sold it privately I would feel a duty to advise the prospective buyer, but it would probably cost the sale...

I wouldn't fix it at all. And I wouldn't worry too much about selling it that way either. Just say that you have done the modification that bypasses the swirl motor that can save you several thousands of dollars in repairs. You are being totally honest.

Glad you had a great trip!

Fit a Flash Tune from CRDSTU and that will delete the swirl motor, and give you heaps more go.

Well I have to admit that's better than mine by 10%!
And I guess it didn't cost anymore than replacing the swirl motor.
Is there any downside?
