Exclamation 1994 XJ Limited Engine cutting out

HELP HELP HELP !!!! I am pulling my hair out !. My XJ motor intermittently cuts out when driving along, and kills power and then wont start. I have replaced the crank position sensor and ignition coil but still no fix. I check the fault codes and it always comes up as no fault detected. When it wont start I have checked the spark at the plugs and there is nothing. I am all out of ideas. I hear this is a "common" issue and was hoping that someone might have a suggestion that may help ???

Many thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Mine did the same thing a few years back but it did give a code where this one isn't but the reason I asked about his location is that I have a spare if he was local and wanted to try one....
