I must be bored...I just did a test run. Motor running at idle, Ctek putting 19.5 Amps in to the battery. The battery Voltage was 12.6 Volts with the compressor running.

I pulled out the spare tyre - 265/65R18 - and let the air out of it. I then pumped it up and timed to 30 psi and 40 psi. Not having a second valve on the wheel I had to stop intermittently to check the pressure, which will have increased the time slightly - say, 5 to 10 seconds.

To pressurise the tank and 8 metres of air hose - 0:30.

Tyre to 30 psi - 1:30.

Tyre to 40 psi - 2:00.

I would guess taking a tyre at 16 psi back to 40 psi would be around 1:15 to 1:30.Not bad at all. I'm happy with that.

Cheers

Thats nice to know, I was wondering to make most of space about slinging an air tank under the back and running a hose up to compressor inside, nitto fittings of course so you could throw the compressor outside if needed ...just have to source an air tank.................. another job on the "To Do List".

Truck wreckers are a really good source for these and they are cheap.

It was hardly noticeable. All was well and over all I am very happy with it.

I have pointed out a couple of things I would change on the box to Korr and they have taken it on board and I suspect they will fix them.

One is the main power switch. It sticks out too far and might get snapped off. I sent them photos of some much flatter/sleeker ones and they are already working on a better one.

The other thing is the plastic pieces on the handles are way too narrow - especially with a 45 kilo AGM in the box! I replaced them with some 25 mm conduit and they are vastly more comfortable. Once again, they took note.

Cheers

PS I picked up a pair of 200 Watt Korr solar panels without controllers at the Adelaide Show on the weekend for $550 each instead of over $800 each. Very happy!

That's good, mine definitely gets too hot (and therefore warms up the battery) underneath when running at 25amps for an hour+
