Default done deal !!!

If anyone is interested here is what it came down to; patrol 3.0l turbo diesel 118kw, 380nm, tow cap 3200kg, around the mid 40s and then there is what i have gone for ; rodeo 3.0l turbo diesel, 120kw, 360nm, tow cap 3000kg a bit over 30k and leaves some change for hyd hoist for flat tray so a happy chappy

even better a 79 series landcruiser v8 turbo diesel.new Hilux with the d4d (turbo diesel) is real good work on them all the time

yere i do agree about the 4.2 turbo patrols, but the prob with the new ones now is they are 3.5 ton vehicle with a 4cyl motor, bad move by nissan i reckon, destroyed the patrol reputation i reckon and it has to be a newy not an oldie

Yeh . . hard to justisfy the extra $10K+ for a pootrol over the likes of the Rodeo, Ranger,Trition etc - especially when they have the much the same Kw & Torque figures. Agree with earlier comments on the bad move by Nissan to go to a 4 clyinder. I think the pootrols are around 14L/100km where as the "other" utes are 10L/100km (or less) which when diesel gets to $2/L means better off by about $40 plus for a fill
