Default Leak from fuel filter housing

Haven't had a chance to look yet but noticed some drips of diesel on the floor of garage. Appears to be coming from the filter housing but not from the base being the filters or drain plug.

Has anyone come across anything similar

Can be a number of places but first before you get the urge to replace the whole unit, clean it down, properly with degreaser and soap, wipe down what you can get at, base area that is, when all dry go for a short drive..... the obvious places are weeping from the drain plug, leaking filters caps, the not so common is a split housing or broken fuel line connector....... with the first two the fuel can look like its all coming from above so you have to catch it when the first drips appear...... Poor filter fitment in not lubing the O rings will stuff them, as well as overtight, same as the yellow drain plug leaking, mine was leaking from dodgy filter caps while Farwest had great time with a leaky drain plug, rarely the housing is stuffed ............... One drop of diesel can run uphill against the wind and look like a cupfull ............. Just don't put much tension on anything, hand over the socket never at the end of bar.

Definitely not the filters or drain plug. I lube o rings and torque filters in. It is coming from higher up somewhere. I figure the housing should be one piece so guessing maybe one of the lines.

I spent up 'big' when I had a leak in the filter housing area...paid $3/drain plug from AGC and bought a new set of filters...swapped out the drain plug and replaced the filters...leak was gawwwn.
AGC stated 'very rarely' is the filter housing faulty...unless its had the car on top of it perched on a rock...the other 'possibilty' of it being a line is also 'extremely rare'....try the plug n filter change....easy job and no harm done.
It was hard to identify where the leak was coming from and it did 'appear' to be coming from the top...it wasnt.

Like Farwest I at first thought it was coming from on top as fuel was everywhere but in the end it was the filter cap which actually was deformed I think as new O rings didn't stop the leak until I replaced the cap .... The manufacturer replaced them, sent me 6 filter sets so more than happy............... If the fuel line is dodgy it would be leaking very well I would think as they are at 50-60 psi ....

You can remove the unit easy enough if you have room..

not had any fuel leaks on my diesel thus far but have tried a few different filters.
The Mopar ones are the best but most expensive, Wesfil ones are pretty close and a good price and use the same sort of material as Mopar ones.
Ryco ones use a paper element .
I could notice slight differences in the cars performance with different filters with the Mopar ones being the best.
Be interesting to compare actual flow rates!

Shouldn't notice any change in performance at all being a diesel, if there was it would point to some big problems .............
I forget what the Mopar filters really are but the mark up on them is certainly a lot, still chinese made, I use WesfilCooper seem good quality and they have an actual gaurantee which is honoured...
