If only FCA could restart the production line on the XJ.

I know it is not 100% clear, but if I am not mistaken, from the start of the vid, they did not strip the vehicle of paint, but "fixed" the dents, finished with body filler, then prime & paint over OEM paint ??

thats seems weird for a $ resto

Ive been watching the Davis site for years. Even got some ideas from them, like my Nitto tyres, which they use a lot.
I love their builds. You can go on their website and have a good browse through. They do several different levels of builds and were even looking at doing a V8 version.

Always liked this one...

Good site, and some interesting vehicles.

I think we all build similar vehicles to those, just takes us a few years longer. My TJ is as good as any of theirs and some they are selling or sold for $40,000+ USD.

1200 hours and $50,000 in parts.. LS conversion. That thing is a beast. $90,000 US retail is a lot of mullah, but i get where they are coming from.

I have probably put 500+ hours into my XJ with everything from transfer case rebuilds to rear disc brake conversions etc.. And, about $30,000 AU with 2 x diff gear changes/air lockers, accessories, 2 x sets of rims and tyres, engineering, rebuilds etc..

The relatively wealthy Jeep XJ enthusiast that buys this LS Jeep is getting a better than brand new unique/custom XJ that will be a pleasure to own and drive. 450HP.. unreal.. imagine the noise this thing pumps out...

Cheers,
