That's a good start, maybe we can have a bit of a challenge for AJOR members to get photos of their GC out side ARB stores when you have no ARB gear on your GC?,
On a side note just saw in the latest 4x4 Australia mag that grand cherokee out sold prado for the month of July, bet ARB wished they had pulled their finger out a bit earlier now

Now don't get me wrong, extra tanks are cool but what real advantage is there doing a highway trip like Syd to Bne and running with both tanks full ?? Carrying an extra 80 -100kgs when fuel prices if you know where are just as good as city prices, running non stop as a reason is just stupid.

Hi Drover
I have my extra tank so that I can decide where I will fill and when, I don't use it for general city running, but having the ability to cross the nullarbor and not have to pay central prices makes it very worth while, also travelling north in W.A. There are places that you want to make sure you can pass until you get to cheaper prices, I agree that loading up both tanks to drive around town is not worthwhile, but sometimes I get the opportunity to get a 20cent discount, then i do grab it while I can

PS I'm sending this while camped on the ocean beach on Fraser Island. The WK2 towed the 1.5 tonne through the soft sand from the Inskip Point barge, no problems at all.
Did you get hammered by that storm this afternoon or did it miss Fraser.

Ahh, I have inlaws in Albury/Wodonga and outlaws in Sydney, plus I have some clients to see in Sydney, Port Macq and Coff's so heading the coast road.

Having said that, one of our favorite camping spots is on the river near Koonamoo which must be in your neighbourhood?

40c off a litre Coles fuel vouchers made me do it, (150l fill) but you're right on normal circumstances I don't fill the extra tank. Having said that, the fuel economy at Yass tonight showing 9.4l/100km.
