Aftermarket DVD/GPS/Radio for WJ/WG.

So I run across this product.

It looks like an integrated solution for GPS, all music and radio, and rear camera.

They also promise it would work with steering wheel controls via CAN-BUS technology (whatever that means).

Anyone has had an experience with this product?

I have been waiting for something like this to come onto the market for a while since most of the other options don't offer an all-in-one solution or integrate with the steering wheel controls, without paying an absolute bomb that is....

I reckon for $428 it's an absolute bargain when you still have to pay over $300 to get a good Bluetooth-compatible unit which doesn't have anywhere near the same features, or is designed to suit the exact vehicle. Plus you get the bonus of an intergrated GPS, DVD, reverse camera, TV etc.

Hi Sockeye I have been looking at these for a while out of China.

Their seems to be about 3 different varieties of these units, all same functionality different style button layout From memory they are the Hasda 988 and OMT-8243.

Anyway I contacted them all earlier this year and negotiated "BEST PRICE" for the unit and the value add additions, like Australia GPS map + the best of their reversing cameras + the best TV decoder the offer for PAL.

I have included the mail below if it helps anyone get one cheaper.

(personally from all my research its the best factory look unit for the WG's with all the factory steering wheel functions etc aswell as multimode where you can output the DVD feed to the rear seat monitors and still use the front GPS etc)

Don't mind the 'Chrysler Voyager' name below they are a GENERIC unit and will display the vehicles manufacturers name (JEEP) on boot up etc.
