No didn’t hinge the floor. Only put the piece of metal across to help support the weight when slid out. Yes will remove fridge if need to access under the floor.

Something I have always wanted to complete is rid of the plastic floor and replace it with something stronger, hinged and gas strut. Will carpet the lot next week, relocate my fridge slide and see how it holds or if I need another strut.

Mounted the proximity sensor for RKE to the wood frame. Will do some finishing touches like a key lockable to hold it down and strap as a handle. Need to Relocate amp, possibly up into the LHS quarter, if the wiring length allows. Mount the factory tie down points through to the wooden frame.

Any suggestions feel free to comment.

Wooden frame is mounted down securely with some bunnings brackets which I bent to shape, and rivit nut them to the body.

Finished. Mounted the amp onto the side, carpeted and added another gas strut. Added a key lock.

I think in total I have gain a little height clearance for the inner wheel recess, maybe almost an inch.

I'm pretty sure Bunnings sells the kits with that square tube and connectors mate.
