Yeah I am doing that and it works some times. I think the transfer case may need a service.

Thought I'd try 4WD on the road today, and for the first time for me in the KK. I suspect it is THE first time for the KK as well.

A few clunks for the first few K's but then that seemed to stop however it sends a mild vibration though the front. Well I noticed it through my seat and steering wheel and seemed a little noisier than 2WD. Only in 4WD it does this low road noise/vibration. Should it be as smooth and quiet as when in 2WD on the road?
EDIT: it's the tranny with 2WD or 4WD AUTO or 4WD low.

Ok , my stock KK 3.7 just did a round trip from Glen Innes to the Gold coast all in 4wd auto, the handling on the curly mountain road between Tenterfield and Casino was surprising. i pushed the "Tow/Haul Ass button on the steep bits just give it the beans and GO ! my mate following me in his 6L v8 VE holden Calais V admited he could not keep up with me on the corners .his car has the same ks on as my KK approx 76,000. He says it must be his shocks are the problem and wants some Bilsteins now lol
we both did the same 1000k trip, a mix of Highways, Gold coast traffic jams, and those awesome mountain roads.
My KK returned 11.2 lph overall and my mates V8 got 10.3
Those dam gold coast traffic jams killed mine as it is usually about 10lph at home ( highway trips to town no traffic)
If you want to hunt it around s bends and hairpins, 4WD auto works a treat and that was in the dry !

Ps That Infinity sound system is just AMazing !

Hey JeepZest

Did you notice any change in road noise or small vibration when in 4WD auto compared to normal 2WD?

No change in noise or vibration for me either in 4WD Auto. I think you might need a diff/tranny/transfer case service.
