Default Front air dam

hi everyone, had my JK for 3 weeks now and taken it off road each weekend. this last weekend got it almost bogged in muddy water and had to reverse out, in the process pulled the front air dam off its plastic hangers. it looks like you have to push them through from the front to refix but i can't undo the plastic screws that hold the hangers in place. looks like an expansion type anchor as i can see the inside of the square section tubing that it's fixed into. can anyone give me some advice as to how to go about it. i'm not the most mechanically minded person you'll come across but i want to learn as much as i can from now on. thanks. also how much of a chance is there of the rear diff casing taking in water through the breather (the car was leaning over to the drivers side and the rear wheel still had the top 7cm still showing above the water), thanks

Diff breathers should be alot higher than that so you should be ok. If you are really unsure undo the drain plug in the diff and have a look at the oil for water, The screws your talking about sound like "plugs" They puch them in one way in the hope that they never will need to be refitted cause after ripping of your airdam you will go and by an aftermarket bar. Give it a good yank and if they break (they most likely will) then scoot off to DC and get some new ones. They will only be about $15 each.
