I guess I'll get used to it, but it seems like Jeep need to find a remedy to it, as it is a bit annoying to all concerned. Surely wouldn't be that hard to fix.
Just as an example, today I was coming in to a roundabout and someone else was approaching from the right, I was in to the roundabout first, so I pushed the accelerator just a wee bit to get in and out quickly,
but the response was way too aggressive, it was as if I'd floored it!

Same here mate, wait until you get used to it. Just a little push to the throttle and the people around you feels like sort of anger coming out of your vehicle. LOL

This WK2 throttle lag problem has been noted for years on various local and o/s Jeep forums.Having dealt with FCA (and won my case)re the world wide transfer case recall problem in the WHs their standard reply was you are the only one with the problem even when thousands were complaining on Jeep forums.!! I suggest all WK2 owners who seriously think its a SAFETY problem start a thread/or whatever for AJOR members to put their names/vehicle vin nos on. Submit the survey to FCA and ACCC at the same time. The ACCC has put FCA on notice a few times in the last few years re inaction relating to vehicle problems.
Have any of you turned off hill start ,if so did it make a difference.I have the 2010 WH and 2011 WK2 both 5 speed diesels , lag not a real problem in either however have a DP chip in WH which eliminated turbo lag.
