The question is asked of this particular car. Not one like it.
if I built an old scrapper I would kill it yeah but not this one.

AMERICAN 1951 WILLYS M38 KOREAN WAR JEEP

THIS JEEP HAS BEEN FULLY RESTORED USING MAINLY GENUINE

NOS PARTS,

EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REBUILT, INCLUDING ENGINE, GEARBOX, DIFFS, BRAKE'S etc.

THE WHOLE CAR IS PERIOD CORRECT

WITH ALL THE RIGHT US ARMY MARKINGS, DECALS etc.

THE INTERIOR IS IN PERFECT CONDITION,

THE BODY AND PAINT ARE AS IT WOULD HAVE COME OUT OF THE FACTORY 57 YEARS AGO.

THE JEEP HAS BEEN CONVERTED FROM 24V TO 12V FOR EASE OF USE AND SERVICING

THIS JEEP HAS ALL OF THE ORIGINAL FORDING EQUIPMENT STILL IN USE AS WELL AS THE AXE AND SHOVEL ON THE R/HAND SIDE, THE GUN RACK IS STILL ATTACHED TO THE LOWER WINDSCREEN,

No-one would own this car and treat it, drive it, and wheel it like a bitch.

For that price you could buy something much more suited to beating up. I'd keep that one in the condition its in.

Lancasters aren't Australian either but there's one of them in the war museum. I wouldn't beat that up either! ;)

Nope, I would happily bring bring it out for easy trips or club days but not work it much harder than it can easily handle in 4WD, I may even drive it to work on clear days but if I want to 4WD, I'll take something more capable.
Retro Question, supposedly this was a complete replica built from all catalogue parts chassis etc, then what would you do with it?

I'm talking about the same car.

Sure it's a really good resto job. and a lot of the parts are probably getting harder to find.

I personally wouldn't pay that much for one, or restore one to that degree.

But, if someone gave that particular Jeep to me, yep, I'd wheel it. I wouldn't set out to break it, but I'd definately push it to it's limits and enjoy it for what it is. A 4x4.

And I'd repair it as needed to keep it in a similar condition, so I could keep on wheelin it..

Museum. pfffffftt they're for bugs and sh1t.......
