Default XJ Quality Replacement Radiator

Hi All, I'm looking for some advice on radiators for XJs. On a recent trip in my 95 Sport the drivers side end tank split, giving us a bit of grief. I'm after recommendations for good quality radiator that will work as a direct replacement for what I assume is the factory radiator in the car now. I want to retain the stock fan shroud and electric fan set up.

Melbourne based

Thanks

I'm Rockin a cheap eBay $120 rad in my XJ and it works fine. Coupled with an 80deg tstat it sits around 100-103 on trails reliably. On freeway at 80deg. Hot days like in Melbourne today around 90 odd.

[QUOTE=itsu-san;1630400]Hi All, I'm looking for some advice on radiators for XJs.

My $103 plastic tanked Ebay item is also working fine, most factory rads are plastic these days.

replaced my brass one that split

there are too many bad reports on alloy rad failure

alloy & brass are more expensive

it fit well, except the 2 lower centre locating tabs needed trimming

Ive just been through a radiator replacement learning curve.(with my TJ)
The$200 ebay rad failed after 2 months and I replaced with an adrad.
I think it's just poor quality weld between the cores and the tanks.
You might be lucky, there's good and bad news on the forum for aluminium.
If you are doing the job yourself and it's not your daily driver you could try ally, but...
Personally I was disappointed.
