Mine's an F Head, but it's in a CJ5 so hood clearance should be fine, so long as I find a not-so-tall air cleaner. I dunno about the Webers, but there's a narrow one to suit Holleys and Strombergs, so I'll probably hunt around for a narrow filter for the Weber if worst comes to worst.

With a CJ5 I would SERIOUSLY consider bolting a Stromberg carby from an old Holden to the manifold , probably get a good one for $5 to $10

What carb is it running at the moment , Solex ?? Total crap

I have a Stromberg from a Holden 186 atm, but I would've thought a Weber would give it a bit of extra bite...? It's running like a champ at the moment though, so if it isn't that much help I might save this project to replace the POS on the CJ6...

You will probably be disappointed with the Weber which in my opinion probably wont do much more than the stromberg is doing now

The weber kits make a huge improvement to solex carbed F heads , the solex has a venturi the size of a cheezel

Spend your money on making some headers , run a 1.75" to 2" exhaust and put an MSD ignition in which will give you a noticeable increase and then leave it , if you want more power go for an engine swap

OK... sounds like a plan to me. I'll probably save this project for the CJ6 as I said before, because it's about due for a carby swap, since the one it's got is only fit for a mild beating. Thanks for the tip on the headers and ignition too, I'll keep them in mind!
