If ZJ coils will give me the same amount of lift as XJ coils than I may as well just use XJ coils
I fitted em cause they,re harder than XJ ones and handle more weight. They did bring the front up more but the spacers had to go back in to level it.The old RE 3.5,s were 2nd hand when i got em 2yrs ago and i thought new ZJ,s would suit without spacers but the 4.5,s would,ve been better. They prolly did,nt come up 3.5 but with winch, cable, steel sliders and JKS crossmember adding weight i may have xpected to much.

I was told they would be too soft. ie they would give a not offer a firm enough ride. The wrecker selling them reckoned they were more built for comfort rather than offroading.

That is a little odd as they are from a heavier vehicle and offroad the last thing you want is a stiff spring.
I have a set (stock) here that I have been tempted to try to see what they are like, I still mightyet and take some measurements.....

That what I kinda thought. But what the wrecker said is that the coils are thinner than the Sport ones. By the sounds of things they may be quite good.

Thanks for all the input, from what I am reading the ZJ coils are "essentially" heavy duty coils, but I am better off using XJ coils for the lift I am after.

I am not currently running winch or bar work but will be as soon as my tax money comes in so will update once i do some more research
