Might have to get some 30s for the jeep, and see how i go

the 4.56 ratios will make it drive like a rocket crawl ratio should be good 2!

I'm thinking about building a TJ for this, I agree a well set up TJ would do well in this comp with a capable/experenced driver(which rules me out).
Sent a few Q's to Dave Metcalfe regarding some isues with the TJ's

Are aftermarket tail shafts ok, eg tj's with even a small lift need double cardinal joint tail shafts or else they will snap like a twig, also can aftermarket rear adjustable arms be used to align the pinion angle. That will be OK

The rules state no half doors, early model TJ wranglers have half doors from the factory, would half doors with the factory window frame and a window net be ok in this instance(full doors are very hard to source and at $2000+ are very pricy). Main reason of this was to stop cut down doors. OE OK.

Can the standard front control arms be strengthened as the stock arms on tj's are paper thin. Yes but cannot be replaced with aftermarket ones.

Can you confirm 33x12.5 tires are ok to use. Yes, 840mm x 350mm measured at 24psi

well if that is the response to the questions and you can run 33s I'd say a TJ is just about built for these rules!!!

I'm glad your doing it zudoo because someone needs to!

I'm still in the process of talking my bro into this... he is keen just need to do a bit of armed robbery or something first!!!

Its a pain actually because the cops are blitzing modified 4b's up our way at the moment - and I mean BLITZ!!! - and I'd seriously consider de modding my TJ to do this series if I hadn't have welded hydro bumps in about three weeks before this comp came up on outers!!! D'oh!
That's the way it goes... it's to late to go back now!

Couldnt like my TJ isnt to far off the rules. Would just need a winch and lockers and be in. Nice idea, I am sick of seeing the "whos got the biggest budget" comps. Bring it back to grass roots wheeling where skill is actually worth something.

Good news for tj's, rules have now been changed to allow aftermarket front control arms.

So is your new cage going to be ok for this comp JB???
